This past week’s activity is down for properties going under contract (-9%) as well as showings (-30%) and the number of properties sold and closed this past week is up (34%). Learn more here Http://WeeklyREActivity.
The number of properties that are for sale in Summit County is now down -14.8% and the number of sold residential properties year to date is up 16.4%! Currently the number of properties under contract and getting ready to sell are up 4.6%.
This week last year had about the same activity for properties going under contract as last week did with the following week of November witnessing a decline in properties going under contract. Las year that declining activity generally continued through the end of the year.
With the average number of days for a property to go from under contract to closed being in the 40 to 50 range this week and next week will be about it for 2012 as properties put under contract after those weeks will, most likely, close in January of 2013.
